This 300 room 5 star Hyatt Regency hotel is located in HCMC district 4 along Duong Tran Hung Dao. The site is prominently visible yet very small, challenging the implementation of a grand ballroom. The site’s restiction for site coverage led to a unconventional stacked ballroom design solution and a building without a typical podium. Both function floors are accessible by dedicated podium lifts and a grand circular staircase. All day dining with a terrace for all day dining is located above the ballroooms. The building provides 317 rooms with a typical roomsize of 32sqm. A small number of rooms facing an adjacent building are labelled garden rooms and provided with spacious outdoor garden area and marketed pet friendly rooms. In order to minimize excavation staff back of house facilites are located on a dedicated floor below the mechanical transfer floor and throughout the tower. Pool with an open skybar are located on the building’s roof. The facade takes inspiraton from Koi fish, representing prosperity and longevity.
